My approach is relaxed, natural and unobtrusive for most of the day, while still making time for a handful of dramatic “wow” portraits that make the most of The West Mill’s industrial backdrop.

My style is mainly candid and documentary-led. I want to capture the real atmosphere of the day: the nerves before the ceremony, the reactions as you walk down the aisle, the hugs, the laughter, the speeches, the chaos, the dance floor and all the little moments you might not even notice happening.

I do not believe in turning your wedding into a long photoshoot. Most couples choose me because they want the day to feel natural, relaxed and enjoyable. That said, The West Mill is far too good a venue not to use creatively, so I will usually suggest a short portrait session to make the most of the building.

This is where we can create those stronger, more dramatic images — using the brickwork, windows, industrial features, staircases and riverside setting. Nothing awkward, nothing overly posed, just a small amount of direction to create images with real impact.
