Tom and Emily first approached me in spring 2015 to be their Woodborough Hall Wedding Photographer. They were particularly interested in the extensive portfolio of images I have from spring weddings and loved the tricks I had to make the most our of inclement weather. We instantly hit off after showing them my portfolio in print as well as telling them it was where I got married a few years before!
The venue boasts a fantastic orangery that offers amazing natural light for photographing the ceremony, one of the reasons I chose the venue for my own wedding.
On my recommendation Emily decided to get ready at the venue, this afforded much more opportunities to capture the bridal preparations and took the stress off her in getting to the venue after her makeup and hair were prepared, it also saved them a fortune on wedding cars!
The day went fantastically, although as March would predict, gave us a few showers. This didn’t stop play and we moved inside for some portraits in the wine cellar in the basement, plus we used their wedding suite as well as the grand stairs. Before I left I suggested a dramatic photo outside under a brolly in the rain which I thought would really capture some intimacy away from their guests and in front of the beautiful building. I'm now asked for that shot every time I shoot a Woodborough Hall Wedding now!
Its always lovely to be back shooting weddings at Woodborough Hall, and will always have a special place in my heart from my big day there!
